Register now to the third European Maritime Day Stakeholder Conference. 25 September 2009, Vincent Building, Cranfield Health, Cranfield University This course provides an introduction to the rapidly emerging field of Nanobiosensors. Nanotechnology is exerting increasing influence on how we understand, design and build new analytical devices to unravel the conundrums of systems biology and deliver novel bioelectronic devices. Whether it is the challenge of integrating millions of assays on a single chip or developing a tiny biocompatible artificial cell for implantation, the art of engineering to nanometre tolerances or building supramolecular machinery offers us new phenomena to tackle key medical and environmental issues. This course will introduce the concepts, materials, engineering principles and market opportunities opened up by this new integrating discipline. The one-day course will consist of 6 lectures and discussion sessions introducing different aspects of nanobiosensors, from the basic fundamentals to the various applications. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. The attendee is expected to receive a comprehensive package of the emerging field of nanobiosensors including the background, latest developments and achievements as well as the market opportunities. The Programme is available here. Information about the Location is available here. Cost: - Clinician/Academics - Ł250 + VAT - Industry - Ł400 + VAT Register now. 23 - 24 September 2009, Vincent Building, Cranfield Health, Cranfield University The workshop is designed to bridge the gap between medicine and nanotechnology, and provides attendees with an advanced knowledge, skills and practical experience of the principles, technology and applications in this emerging multidisciplinary field. The workshop will comprise 8 lectures and 2 demonstration and/or practice sessions introducing different aspects of nanomedicine, from the basic fundamentals to the various applications. A course dinner with an extra Plenary Lecture with group activity will also be arranged in the evening and is included in the price. The Programme is available here. Proiectul are o durata de 3 ani. The 5th academic course in Nuclear Safeguards and Non-Proliferation is organised with the support of the European Safeguards Research and Development Association (ESARDA). The one-week course is hosted by the JRC’s Nuclear Safeguards Unit in Ispra (Italy). 30 March - 3 April 2009 - Joint Research Centre (JRC) Ispra (Italy) For more information click here. The EU budget for research and innovation is increasing every year and we can show you how you can get involved.
